SSM Nagar Flat Owners Association, a registered entity under Tamil Nadu Societies Registration Act was formed to serve as a common forum of owners’ of flats currently under construction in the building complex known as “SSM Nagar” situated at Puthur Road, Alapakkam, New Perungalathur, Kancheepuram District, Chennai – 600 063 originally promoted by SSM Builders & Promoters.
Our association will work collectively with Builders and other competent authorities, to facilitate discussion and consider all problems affecting the members with a view to promoting their general welfare and to take all steps necessary for the welfare and protection of the members and their investments / properties in SSM Nagar. Hello Members of SSM Nagar FOA,
As you all know our association won the complaint against SSMBP in 2021 and final orders passed. The appeal by SSMBP to stay was also dismissed. Though the appeal was dismissed in Sep 2022, still SSMBP was not complying with the order. So, with no other choice, we have filed an execution petition with RERA.
Apart from the complaint from the association, there was an individual complaint filed as well, even for which the RERA pronounced similar order on 21-12-2022 to register the project with RERA and complete the pending amenities within 30 days of this order.
There was a delay in compensation filed by another individual. The order was also in favour of the individual directing SSMBP to pay the compensation. Again, here in this case too, SSMBP went for appeal, which was dismissed subsequently.
As per RERA rules and orders passed on, our SSM Nagar project is an ongoing one. But the so-called law-abiding SSMBP and its managing partners still not obeying these orders passed by RERA.
